Policies & Information

  1. Check-in begins after 4pm for the motel and 11am for the campground. Check-out is by 11am. The registration desk is at our General Store. The registration desk closes at 8:00PM. Late arrivals are OK but we don't have an overnight staff. Late arrival information is posted at the window of the check-in office / general store by the closing clerk.
  2. Our motel rooms are very basic and do not have televisions or telephones. We also do not have refrigerators, microwaves, or coffee makers. We sell coffee and large quantities of ice at our General Store and also have a microwave available for use.
  3. We have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If you need to make any changes to your reservation, please email us at or call us at 775 482-7680 at least 48 hours prior to 4pm PST on the date of check-in to avoid penalty charges. It is your responsibility to get a cancellation number to verify cancellation. If you make changes or cancellations less than 48 hours prior to 4pm PST on the scheduled date of check-in, you will be held responsible for the full rate of any nights of stay that fall within that 48-hour period. We do not charge your credit card until you arrive or if you do not meet the terms of the cancellation policy.
  4. Children under 12 are free, when accompanied by an adult and no additional bedding is required. If additional bedding is required, the fee is $10. For an additional adult in a room it is a $10 fee, and if bedding is required it is a $15 fee. We have camp cots that can be set up in the room if needed. The charge for a cot with bedding is $20 (not available in all room types) and you must request this in advance. Rooms with 1 bed include 2 people (up to one additional), rooms with 2 beds include 4 people (up to one additional), rooms with 3 beds include 6 people (up to one additional), and the cottage includes 5 people (up to two additional).
  5. Group reservations (4 or more rooms) can be made by contacting the us using the form on our "Contact us" page. This site should only be used for Reservations of up to 3 rooms for the same person. Reservations booked via this site that are considered to be a Group are subject to cancellation.
  6. We are pet friendly, but all dogs must be on a leash at all times. All other pets must be kept under control at all times. Please clean up after your pet. Our pet fee is $5 per night per pet in a motel room or tent cabin, and $5 per visit in RV or tent sites.
  7. We do not charge your credit card at the time you make your reservation (except for large group reservations or travel agents). Payment is due at check-in. Therefore, you must submit a credit card that will be valid during the date of your reservation, or your reservation will be declined. If you are a TRAVEL AGENT, please email us for pre-payment procedures, if you do not contact us, we will expect payment at check-in from your clients.
  8. Please note that special requests are not guaranteed, however they will be noted and honored when possible.
  9. If you, any member of your party, or your pet causes any damage to the room or campsite, beyond "normal wear and tear", we may charge your credit card to cover the cost of repairing the damage caused.
  10. All our rooms are non-smoking rooms. If you choose to smoke in one of our rooms there will be a $150 cleaning charge.
  11. We do not allow cooking of any kind in our motel rooms. There is a $150 penalty if you cook in our rooms.
  12. If you are requesting an accommodation that is for the next 24 hours, please call us at 775-482-7680 instead of booking online. If you choose to fill out your request online please be advised that availability may not be accurate and we may decline your reservation request. Please check your email for a confirmation or decline.
  13. If you occupy one of our Historic Motel Rooms please keep in mind that they were built in 1937 and the walls are quite thin. Please respect your neighbors by observing quiet time from 10:00pm to 7:00am. Quiet time for the campgrounds is also 10:00pm to 7:00am.
  14. Please help us to conserve water.
  15. All of our power is generated with a diesel generator. Please help us conserve fuel by not wasting electricity.
  16. Do not use any of your own appliances in our rooms. Absolutely no rice cookers, microwaves, hot plates, heaters, air conditioners, etc.
  17. We DO NOT offer any discounts for AAA or AARP members. We do not offer any other discounts at this time.
