Location/Directions
Please Note:
We do not have an official physical address at Panamint Springs Resort, because we do not receive U.S. Mail deliveries. Therefore, it is NOT advisable to find us using a GPS device unless you use our coordinates. To find us, there are a few things you can do:
- Go to google.com, type in Panamint Springs and select the maps button. (Or see Google map below)
- Look at any map of the national park, find highway 190 and mark a point on highway 190 about 10 miles in the western side of the park (if we are not already marked)
You can enter in our latitude and longitude coordinates: 36°20'21.6"N 117°28'07.3"W
Please verify all GPS directions on a map, as they have been known to take people the wrong way. Feel free to email us if you have specific inquiries.
Driving From Las Vegas (175 miles)
From 15 Freeway, just south of Las Vegas, take Highway 160 West to Pahrump. Just outside of Pahrump, turn left on Bell Vista Avenue and proceed 26 miles to Death Valley Junction, the road will change names to 'State Line Road', when you cross into California. At Death Valley Junction, highlighted by the Amargosa Opera House and Hotel, make a quick "right-and-a-left" on Highway 190 toward Death Valley and Furnace Creek. Remain West on Highway 190 for 86 miles to Panamint Springs Resort, passing Dante's View, Zabriskie Point, Furnace Creek, the Sand Dunes, and Stovepipe Wells Village. The gas station, motel and restaurant are on the left side of the road. Check-in for the motel and campground is at the gas station.
Driving From Los Angeles (approximately 235 miles)
From the 5 Freeway North (Golden State Freeway), a few miles past its juncture with 405 Freeway, stay right for 14 Freeway North (Antelope Valley Freeway). After 70 miles, passing Palmdale, Lancaster, and Rosamond, the 14 Freeway North continues on to become Main Street for the town of Mojave. At the end of town, turn right to remain on the Highway 14 North. After 49 miles, 14 will turn into Hwy 395 north. After 41 miles, turn right on Hwy 190 east at Olancha. In 14.6 miles, turn right to stay on Hwy 190 east. Arrive at Panamint Springs in 30 miles. The gas station, motel and restaurant are on the right side of the road. Check-in for the motel and campground is at the gas station.
Driving From the Bay Area (approximately 420 miles)
Take Hwy 101 South. Take exit 356 for 10th St/CA-152 East. Turn left at CA-152 E/E 10th St/E Pacheco Pass Rd. Proceed 2.8 miles, then turn right at CA-152 E/Pacheco Pass Hwy. Proceed 37.8 miles then merge onto I-5 South via the ramp to Los Angeles. After 124 miles, take exit 278 for CA-46 toward Lost Hills/Wasco. Turn left at CA-46 E/Paso Robles Hwy. After passing through the town of Wasco, take the ramp onto CA-99 South. Take exit toward CA-58 East/towards Mojave/Tehachapi. After about 57 miles, merge onto Hwy 14 North. After 49 miles, 14 will turn into Hwy 395 north. After 41 miles, turn right on Hwy 190 east at Olancha. In 14.6 miles, turn right to stay on Hwy 190 east. Arrive at Panamint Springs in 30 miles. The gas station, motel and restaurant are on the right side of the road. Check-in for the motel and campground is at the gas station.
